Plan this partner in PokéBonk

This analysis describes the Magikarp League partner and its evolution line, not necessarily the current form alone.

Perseverance's large experience bonus helps Magikarp work toward Gyarados at level 40. The later waterspouts and Hyper Beam Ultimate make the payoff real rather than purely a novelty.

Trade-off: Tackle and the long pre-evolution stretch are expensive costs in an overall progression ranking.

Passive: Perseverance

Ultimate progression: Epic Splash / Gyarados's Fury

Curated kit: Tackle (Lv. 1) · Flail (Lv. 2) · Waterfall (Lv. 4) · Hyper Beam (Lv. 7)

Later moves become eligible offers; they are not automatically equipped.
